About Little Pines Nature Based Preschool…

Little Pines is located on 4 acres, at the North end of Fort Collins, CO. As a Nature-Based school, the majority of each day will take place in our newly constructed 1,800 sq. ft. outdoor classroom. This beautiful outdoor classroom features designated areas for messy play, art, music, earth play, vegetable gardens, natural playground, quite space, dramatic play, water play, and more.

On days where the weather does not permit use of this space, we will utilize our indoor classroom, which is a +600 sq. ft. dedicated space in our newly constructed home. With a private entrance, and complete separation from the rest of the home, we believe that it is truly the best of both worlds. A center like dedication to your child’s learning and growth, while maintaining the low ratio, continuity of care, and individual attention of an in-home preschool.

Throughout the week, we will also take trips to the “beyond” spaces around our 4 acre space. These spaces include, a large vegetable garden, our newly constructed mini forest/trail, a large wildflower field, and trips to the lake shore directly connected to our home. Additionally, we have BIG plans for the future that we are extremely excited about (on-site orchard anyone?).

Little Pines is a Nature Explorer Certified Classroom, a member of Natural Start Alliance, and led by a certified Nature and Forest School Educator.
